More food :)

Last weekend, I went to Bintang Megamall with my mum. We tried this at a small booth opposite Apple Donut. Taste Better with green and red deco.

on the left is, honeydew ice cream and the right is durian ice cream

Durian puff

My verdict: The ice cream is nice and smooth. Yummy! The durian ice cream had a very strong taste of the fruit. So is the honey dew. For the durian puff, the inside was completely "durian". It felt as if i'm eating the real durian. Haha. It's good for people who like the taste of durian alot. It is not that expensive as the durian puff cost about Rm5 for 6 pieces while the ice cream cost Rm3.30 if i'm not mistaken. There are also a few more flavours to chose from. :)

Besides that, Delifrance had opened their business in Curtin recently. My friends and I had went over to try and here's my verdict.

I ordered spaghetti forrestier. Not nice....because..I also could not explain. Probably I do not like how it taste.. Blant taste.. Tasteless. Haha...but I tried another dish on a second trip with Karen. I ordered chilli lamb spaghetti and it is much better. However, it is not possible to always indulge in good food everyweek when the price is quite expensive for a student. For me at least. Lol...

Foodie 2#...

Dear went out with his friends yesterday night having sushi. He showed me pictures that me made my stomach growling with hunger...haha...Btw, it was it wilson's birthday celebration. Happy birthday to you! :)

Make me feel so hungry ler now...*sob sob* Anyway, I'm glad my dear dear enjoyed himself with his friends and my dear said he will bring me go this place to enjoy when I go kuching. Can't wait:)
I know I have been delaying that lasagna recipe for quite some time now. So I guess I'll post it today then :) Basically when you buy the instant lasagna sheets, you'll get the recipe at the back of the package. What they din tell you is that, you should soak the pasta sheet in water before hand so that it is much easier to work with although it says "instant".

this is what you need.. san remo's instant lasagna sheet

the recipe is here...i'll type it out for you

Since the meat sauce is exactly the same as a spaghetti sauce, just exclude the button mushroom because I find the button mushroom will make the lasagna taste less like what it is suppose to, you can use it as the meat sauce in this lasagna recipe.

For the cheese sauce, you will need: 3 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp plain flour, 2 cups of milk and mozarella cheese/cheddar cheese.

To make the cheese sauce: Melt the butter in a saucepan, stir in flour and cook it till you can't smell the smell of flour. Stir in milk little by little until the sauce is thick. Season with salt and pepper. Then add in the cheese. Stir until you get thick and smooth sauce. Not lumpy ok?

To assemble the lasagna: Preheat oven to 180*c. Pour the 1/4 of the meat sauce into lightly greased baking dish. Alternate layers of lasagna, meat and cheese sauces, ending with cheese sauce layer. Sprinkle parmesan cheese/mozarella cheese on topand bake in oven at 150*c for 30 - 40 minutes depending on the size of your lasagna. (Bigger lasagna require longer time) Let the lasagna stand for 5 minutes before serving. ** How to see if your lasagna is cooked : prick it with for. if it come out clean and the lasagna sheets is softer and the colour changed to white, it's is cooked.

Tips: Remember cover the entire lasagna sheets with the meat sauce to avoid drying and harden during the baking process, especially the top layer. Do not worry if it look flooded with meat sauce because it will dry up during the baking process. And remember to soak your lasagna sheets in water for at least 5-10 minutes before using it.

p/s: This recipe I did altered a little bit according to my experience making it. Good luck!

Some peace of mind...

Had not post up anything lately cos my life revolves around studies, mid sem test and all those shit. To be honest I started thinking whether i chose the right course or not. I think i regreted every bit of it. I'm seriously not smart enough to handle it. I had my finance 212 mid semester test this morning and I had some sort of sudden emptiness up in my head. I forgot most the things I learnt. I do not even know what I was doing in there. I panicked and I remember writing the most silliest and shortest answer ever. Everyone around me was writing "long answer" and poking at their calculators at some figures that I do not even understand.

Somehow I guess I was the only to blame cos I had not prepared enough for it eventhough I had the time. *sigh*

I thought this would give me some peace of mind but...it doesn't. So there goes my week free thinking about what went wrong and what I could have done.

Anyway, happy holidays people! Hope you had a great one:)

Foodie....

I've been busy for the past few weeks. Pardon me for not posting anything up lately. Haha. I've not been up to many things. I've been doing my Asian Management assignment report which I have to present on 10th September. I'll be having my Eco Tech mid semester this Thursday also. Busy Busy. Anyway, I also have whipped some recipe and here are some picture of it...haha.

Before going into the oven

After 30 minutes in the oven...My brother rate it 8/10....hehe not bad ler for my 2nd attempt making lasagna..

This is another version of baked pasta...but it's not edible. Hard as rock...lol. My bad.. I did not put enough sauce to cover the pasta before baking it.

This one is cheese/mushroom/turkey ham/crabstick omelet

I could have taken pictures of how I do it but then I'm the only person cooking it, so I do not have the time to take picture and cook at the same time. Well, I could but I was lazy...Hehe... Now I am wondering if I should post up the recipe here? I'll just post the spaghetti bolognaise recipe first since I had it in my computer right now. Haha.
